Name, degree and registration number
The notice says electronic posts should show the doctor's name, qualifications, and registration status and number. We put these on your pages and your profile, and we ask you for the exact details.
Digital marketing for doctors and clinics in Bangalore
Zunelo helps doctors and clinics get found on Google Maps and Search. We start with your Google Business Profile and local SEO, and we publish only what you have approved in writing. Your name, degree and registration number go on the page, and nothing on it breaks the National Medical Commission's advertising rules.

The short answer
For a doctor or a clinic, digital marketing is the work that helps a patient find you, check you and call you: a complete Google Business Profile, local SEO, clear pages for each service, honest information and tracking. Most clinics should start with the first two.
When someone searches for a doctor near them, Google shows local results in Maps and in search. Google says these results are mainly based on relevance, distance and popularity, and explains all three in Google's local ranking guide. You cannot change how far a patient is from your clinic. You can make your profile match what they search for, and you can make your practice easier to check. Our post on relevance, distance and prominence goes through each one.
Medicine is different from most businesses, because the rules on advertising are strict and they fall on the doctor. So we work in a plain order: be easy to find, be easy to check, be easy to reach, and say nothing that you could not defend to your State Medical Council.
The rules first
The National Medical Commission published a public notice on ethical advertising by doctors and hospitals on 6 October 2026. Here is how we read it for a website, a Google Business Profile and a blog. We are a marketing team and not your legal adviser, so please check anything you are unsure about with your State Medical Council.
The notice says electronic posts should show the doctor's name, qualifications, and registration status and number. We put these on your pages and your profile, and we ask you for the exact details.
The notice says a doctor must not request or share patient testimonials or reviews for promotion. So we do not run review drives, quote patients, or show star badges on your pages.
The notice bans superiority claims unless they can be checked in a clear, independent way. We write plain facts: who you are, where you are, what you treat, when you are open.
No guaranteed cures, success rates, patient counts or before and after photos as selling points. A patient's name, face or records never go on a public page.
The notice says agencies must not be paid in a way linked to getting or referring individual patients. Our plans are a fixed monthly fee. We never charge per lead or per patient.
The notice says using an agency does not remove the doctor's responsibility. So nothing goes live until you have approved the wording in writing.
Dentists follow the National Dental Commission and its own advisory. See our page on digital marketing for dentists.
What we do
Six pieces of work, in the order most clinics need them.
We check that your profile is verified and complete: the real name of the practice, address, hours, phone number, one main category, the services you offer and real photos of the clinic. Google says to choose the fewest categories that describe your core business, so we add another only where you really provide that service.
We find how people near you search for your speciality, such as a skin doctor in Hebbal or a child specialist in Whitefield, and match each search to one page. Your name, address and phone number stay the same everywhere they appear. This is the core of our local SEO services in Bangalore.
One clear page for each service you offer, with facts you supply and approve: what it is, who it is for, what to bring and how to book. We do not write clinical claims. You check every medical line, because you know the facts and we do not guess them.
Special hours, holiday closures, new services and a changed phone number go on your profile on time. Wrong hours are one of the quickest ways to lose a patient's trust. Our post on which profile attributes are worth filling in shows what we check.
Call and WhatsApp buttons on every page, a fast site on a phone, and enquiries tracked from day one. See our website development work.
Optional. The NMC treats paid promotion as advertising too, so every ad line is factual and approved by you in writing, and we keep the budget small until tracking works. Details are on our Google Ads management page.
Where most clinics start
Five keywords locked into scope, local SEO, full Google Business Profile management and a monthly report. Plans go up to 15 keywords. See every plan on the pricing page.
How patients search
These are our own groupings, based on how people search, not Google statistics. Each one needs something different from your profile and website.
The patient wants a clinic that is close, open and easy to call. Your hours, phone number and exact address matter most here.
The patient is choosing between doctors. A page for that speciality, with the doctor's degree and registration number and plain answers to common questions, gives them a reason to call.
The patient already has your name and is checking you. Correct details on your profile and website decide whether they find the right door.
How we work
We review your Google Business Profile, how Google sees your website, and the clinics that show up when your patients search. You get a short list of what to fix first.
Your name, degrees, registration number, address, hours and services, in your words. We use only what you give us and what we can check.
We set the categories, services, hours, photos and details so Google understands what your practice does.
One page for each service you want more patients for. Nothing is published until you approve the exact wording in writing.
A monthly report from Google Search Console and your profile: calls, direction requests and website visits. We do not guarantee rankings. We show what changed and what we do next. Here is how we track calls and forms.
Common mistakes
Most cost nothing to fix. Where Google has a rule, we say so. The rest is our judgment.
Google says your name should reflect your real-world name, as used on your signboard, website and stationery. Extra keywords can cause problems with your profile.
Google says to choose the fewest categories that describe your core business. Add one only if you really provide that service.
Quoting patients or showing star badges on your own pages runs against the NMC notice. Reviews on Google belong to the patient. Do not repost them as promotion.
The NMC notice bans superiority claims that cannot be checked in a clear, independent way. Facts about your training and practice do more work anyway.
The notice asks for it on electronic posts. It is also the first thing a careful patient looks for.
A patient who arrives at a closed door does not come back. Check your profile after every change in timings.

Questions
It includes your Google Business Profile, local SEO for your speciality and area, a page for each service on your website, tracking of calls and enquiries and, if you want it, Google Ads. Most clinics should start with the profile and local SEO, because that is where nearby patients find a doctor.
Our Local Starter plan is ₹15,000 a month. It covers 5 locked keywords, local SEO, full Google Business Profile management and a monthly report. If you run Google Ads, the ad spend is paid to Google and is separate.

No, and we would not advise it. The NMC notice says a doctor must not request or share patient testimonials or reviews for promotion. Reviews on Google belong to the patient. We can help you reply to reviews in a calm, careful way that never confirms the person was a patient or mentions any treatment.
Nobody can give an honest date. It depends on your area, the doctors you compete with and the state of your profile today. We set expectations in the free audit and report every month, so you can see calls and direction requests change. We do not guarantee rankings.
Yes, you can do the basics yourself. Claim and verify your Google Business Profile, fill in every detail, keep your hours correct and put your registration number on your website. An agency helps when you do not have the time, want an audit of what is holding you back, or need service pages and tracking set up properly.
